Ensemble usually sends MIDI information from the Notes, Chords and Controller blocks to a built-in Soundfont Synth to generate sound. Sometimes we want to send MIDI to a different software synth on our PC, another piece of music software or alternatively to an external MIDI device.
You can use a ‘virtual MIDI cable’ such as LoopBe to send MIDI to other software applications on the same PC.
We can choose where to send MIDI using the Ensemble Device Monitor which sits in the system tray in Windows. Have a look at this short video for an explanation.
