Why won’t my wav files work with the Audio Clip block?

The Audio Clip block is designed to work with wav files sampled at 16 bit. If your sample is better or worse quality than this then you won’t be able to Preview or play your wav file.

You can use a software program like Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) to resample the wav file to the correct format.

Simply select ‘File > Open’ and find the audio file that you wish to convert. Once it has been loaded in, and you can tell this when the waveform appears on the screen, then you should select ‘File > Export As Wav…’. Assuming the default settings haven’t been changed, the exported file should be in the correct format (16-bit, 44.1kHz).
