Using any audio file with Ensemble

All of the audio files that come in our large media library are ready to use straight away with Ensemble.
However, some of the files that you download from the internet, or already have on your computer, might not be in the right format. But never fear, there is an easy way to convert them! Try downloading a small piece of software called ‘Audacity‘ and follow this advice:
The Audio Clip block is designed to work with wav files sampled at 16 bit. If your sample is better or worse quality than this then you won’t be able to Preview or play your wav file.

You can use a software program like Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) to resample the wav file to the correct format.

Simply select ‘File > Open’ and find the audio file that you wish to convert. Once it has been loaded in, and you can tell this when the waveform appears on the screen, then you should select ‘File > Export As Wav…’. Assuming the default settings haven’t been changed, the exported file should be in the correct format. (16-bit, 44.1kHz)
