Throwing away older music technology equipment is always heart breaking, especially when you’re dealing with accessible music technology kit. The resell market is limited and you rely on people being on ebay etc when you decide to advertise. Sometimes it just doesn’t seem worth the time and effort.
We’ve recently partnered with Jessie’s Fund to try to donate older accessible music tech equipment to children’s hospices. All the equipment is tested and missing leads, manuals, theme cards etc replaced where possible. Jessie’s Fund then offer the equipment to Music Therapists and hospices, as well as schools and other contacts and through their Facebook page. So far this year four complete MIDIcreator Portable Kits have been donated to hospices across the UK.
If you’d like to find a new home for your old equipment, then please email us with details.
